DescriptionThe Iconic Guildford Cathedral provides the back drop for the Stag Hill Music & Beer Festival. Saturday the 18th May 2013 will offer a celebration packed with music and entertainment. Opening at 4pm, the real ale bar will be fully stocked with a selection of Hogs Back Brewery ales and cider. The local bands will be playing throughout the afternoon and evening and will include an Academy of Contemporary music set.
Purchase your tokens from the numerous venues in and outside the marquee, select from a choice of drinks from the bars, and buy from the hot food station. The activity area will include a festival shop, henna tattoos and entertainment for everyone !

Bands include
Oasish – who accurately re-create all of the biggest hits from arguably the biggest British band since The Beatles and being the ONLY oasis tribute band in the WORLD to use a live string quartet, oasish will leave any audience screaming and begging for more.
Sounds of the Suburbs – one of the premier indie, rock and punk covers bands in the UK and play the most exciting setlist of their generation.They play the best songs from the punk, post-punk, new wave, rock and indie era’s from the 70s right up to the present day.
Congakeyz – play a repertoire of modern hits from rock to soul, funky grooves, and beautiful ballads, with all the dynamics of the piano, guitars, and groove of the congas.
The Mays – a young talented and ambitious 5 piece covers band playing a wide range of great music from the golden age of rock and roll through to the present day covering artists as diverse as The Beatles, Stones and Chuck Berry through to the modern classics by Duffy and Kings of Leon, via the super groups of the 70s and 80s such as Queen, Status Quo and Dire Straits.
As well as some bands from The Academy of Contemporary Music Guildford.

DirectionsThere is easy access from the Guildford by-pass (A3). If approaching from London or Portsmouth take the exit signed to Cathedral and University.
If approaching on the A322 or A323 from Bagshot or Aldershot, at the A3 roundabout take the exit signed to Portsmouth and turn off the A3 at the first exit (signed to Cathedral and University).
If entering Guildford from Horsham (A281) or Godalming (A3100), leave the central gyratory system at the exit marked Farnham (A31). After crossing the railway bridge take the first turning right into Guildford Park Road and continue along Madrid Road and The Chase for 3/4 mile. At the roundabout, take the fourth exit for the Cathedral entrance.
